Michael received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glassblowing from Salisbury University in May of 2002. While studying glassblowing at Salisbury, Michael began assistant teaching in his junior year and continued teaching through May of 2006. Having since relocated to his home town in Southern Maryland, Michael now teaches multilevel glass courses at DC Glassworks in the Washington, DC. Metro area.
Michael has studied with many famous glassblowers includ-ing the likes of Elio Quarisa, Emilio Santini, Michael Schunke, Rick Schneider and Jeff Mack.. He shows and sells his in many galleries through out the Mid-Atlantic United States.
Most notably Michael was recently commissioned by the Smithsonian Institute to make Venetian style goblets, for dis-play and sale through the Smithsonian Gallery store. To view or purchase these pieces, you may find them on display in the James Renwick Museum for American Craft in Washington, DC.
